About Parallel Platform Packages (PPPs)

What is a "Parallel Platform Package?"

A Parallel Platform Package (or PPP) provides software tools for carrying out modules. These PPPs can contain the following information:

  • libraries/languages : information about library and interface software for programming exercises
  • platform resource configurations : computational platforms on which a library or software can be installed and used with a teaching module
  • user documentation for entering and running programs using the platform in each compatible language
  • installation documentation for compatible operating system and hardware combination

Libraries/language are compatible with one or more platform resource configurations, allowing for flexibility in use, based on the resources available to you. We include instructions for installation and configuration whenever possible.
